Massimo Scolari graduates in Architecture in Milan in 1969.
In 1973, he teaches as a temporary professor of History of Architecture at the University of Palermo, Sicily, while at the same time teaching for the Design Department of the University Institute of Architecture in Venice.
Massimo Scolari is a member of the editorial staff of Controspazio", Casabella", Lots International". He is also the editor of Eidos" (1989-1995) and of the Architecture Series" by Franco Angeli (1973-1988).
He is an international scientific committee member of the Bureau de la Recherche Architecturelle et du Plan de Construction et Architecture (Paris, 1992).
He is an international scientific committee member of the exhibition Renaissance. From Brunelleschi to Michelangelo: the representation of Architecture" at Palazzo Grassi (Venice, 1994).
Since 1989, he has been designing furniture for Giorgetti.
In 2001, he resigns from his university job in order to get a pilot's license.
Massimo Scolari currently lives in Venice, where he works as a painter and a designer.
